getting some lens distortion from the wide angle lens.
exposure looks good
the bench one needs straitening.

what an unusual looking old house. really kewl yeah? are all those chimneys on the roof? they must have a fireplace in every room!
nice shots, i bet look better in b/w.

Try coming back either in the early morning or later in the day. I think the harsh midday sun is keeping the subjects from holding much interest. The other thing I would suggest is you keep in mind the rule of thirds. Seems like most of the photos have the subject planted right in the middle of the frame.

I kind of like the bench one. To me, it leads my eye to the left and there is a slight hint of where this was taken in the background. Makes me wonder what is to the left of the shot.
