anyone know of where to find photo agencies?

i'm planning on building my portfolio in hopes of submitting to a decent photo agency.

i know there's many out there, and there's different ones for different photography. i shoot glam portraits to 'experimental's, tho my long-term goal is to shoot fashion glam.

any help is appreciated, and thanks in advance : )

thanks, but i was kinda hoping there'd be some kind of online or print directory of photo agencies. (like the Ross Reports are for models/actors).

I've never seen a comprehensive listing of all stock agencies. There are so many popping up and dropping off that it would be hard to stay current and accurate.

You say decent agency, there are only a few of the long time big name agencies that would probably fall into that category. Some of the micro sites like istock are certainly reputable but don't pay much.

I did a google search and there are lots of results that wouldn't take too much time to wade through. On google searches I've found that the most reputable results are in the first few pages. Some of the upstarts may be lower in the page count as they have not built their reputation yet.

Quite honestly I can't remember the last time I couldn't find my answer using google. There have been lots of discussions here as well on stock agencies that you could review.
