Looks like a Sikorsky, but I'm not sure... :)

I will look on their webpage. I have no idea. It was flying above my house when I took the pics.
Edit:
I looked but didn't find anything. I did read about how a helicopter works.

How could I make the photos look better?

They look static. Or like the helicopter is going down, since the propeller is static. Use slower shutter speed to make it moving.

I think if I did that it would over expose but I will try it..

When you set it to a slower shutter speed just make sure you also set a smaller aperture. Or you could put it in Tv mode and let the camera set the aperture for you, which is what I do sometimes if I'm in a hurry. :) What camera did you use for these shots?

I used the A60 with the telephoto lens. I use Tv mode most out of them all but I am starting to use the M mode more.

Although somethimes you do not have the time because a fly-over was not expected, you should try to capture more detail and color. Also the previous comments from others are valid. Try to get some more movement in the blades of the prop by setting slower shutter speed.
Here is one of mine. Definitely not prfect yet but it already shows what I mean. If you are really interested, visit heliports. I must have some other helicopter pictures shot with a small sony (my first digital I bought about 3 years ago) but have to look on some DVDs for them. I will post some later today.

Wow! Great picture! Were you in another plane or helicopter when you took it? I was outside when I saw it then I ran in to get it so I didn't have a lot of time.

I was walking on the beach in Fort Lauderdale - Florida. With me my Canon 10D and 75-300mm EF IS lens.
