Hello All..

First post so please be gentle!!

I have a Canon IXUS V3 and am desperate to learn how to time delay shooting. I do know there is the shutter delay function but all this seems to do is over expose the picture in normal light.

Can any kind person shed some light on this?

Thanks
Kev..

do you mean long shutter?
or may be self-timer?

Hi

I mean long shutter.. Take the example of a waterfall and i want to get that blurred effect from opening the shutter for 2-3 seconds then closing it..

Thanks!! :)

The long shutter is for dark subject.
It will over expose in day light.
I don't think you can do waterfall blur effect with only IXUS.
Because you can not control the shutter speed and aperture in IXUS.
Try use a ND filter.
