I am going out to the park tomorrow with one of my friends and his soon to be wife. He asked me if I would take some shots of them for their reception this weekend. I am very new to thmy camera and photography itself and was wondering if anyone could tell me how I should set my camera up..AF, TV, A-Dep, portrait and so on and also Aperture and what ever else I might need to know..
I am shooting with a Canon XTI with kit lens and the setting should be sunny and in front of a water fountain..
Thanks for any help.

My suggestion.....

Shoot in Av (~5.6 or 8), sharpest focus on they eyes, center weighted metering, meter off of the child's face, put the sun either in back of you or in back of him....

Oh... and pray for overcast day.... great lighting.

And have fun, don't stress.

Peace.
