This is my first post, and also a first attempt at experimenting with coulor/black and white. I would really appreciated some feedback.
Cheers,

Very interesting. However, the blue on the bottom spring pulls my eye away from the horse. JMO

I would have kept everything (also the handles and the horizontal piece and fixation of the head) in B/W except for the head, tail (and spring?).

When I showed this picture to a friend before uploading it, the first thing he told me was to dump the blue spring. Perhaps I should have listened
The horse definatly looks better with just the head and tail in colour. Just starting to wonder if the foreground is too crowded. Any thoughts?

Opps, meant to include that last one as an image. Here it is again.

I like the last one.

Guess I'm alone but I like the first better. The blue balances the red and adds dynamic and so makes the image interesting. After all the spring is the MOST important part of those horses. :)

I can't decide which of the two I like best, but I think that the B/W is too dark, perhaps moving the middle slider in the levels will help...

meow, I know what you mean about the blue. I felt the same as you do and so was reluctant to take it out. Despite that I think the picture has more balance without it and works better overall.
I will have a go at lightening it a bit and report back.
Oh yes and that edit thingy ... obviosly I knew it was there all along... only a fool would have missed the big button marked edit....

I think the blue spring would have worked had it been part of the same horsey thing. It was too close to the camera and therefore too distracting. The second one is perfect though. Great work

My vote is for the one without the blue.

Just FYI this didn't work because you have spaces between the URL and the code. I like the second one best.
