I was cleaning my 30D sensor with the VisibleDust Butterfly, and I must have accidentally touched the side wall with the brush. I ended up with a smear right across the sensor which I had to take the camera in to the shop for them to do a wet clean.
Then, they suggested I need to clean the brush as it's now go the grease on it. I ended up buying a bottle of VisibleDust brush wash tablets, which dissolves into water and the brush is cleaned by dipping into this solution.
Is this the best solution, or you guys have found other types of "detergent" to work just as well? Since I spent so much on the brush, didn't think it would be risk damaging by doing something else. The tablets are less than 1 dollar each...
