I am considering purchasing a new Canon lens.
One is the Zoom Telephoto EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS.
The other is Zoom Wide Angle-Telephoto EF 35-350mm f/3.5-5.6L USM.
Any opinions/advise would be appreciated

100-400. Better image quality and IS.

100-400L-IS Definately - I believe that if you could test these two lenses in your own hands, and examine the results, you'd see that there is no comparison.

Righto, lets lean a little to the left a bit.
how about if you have a 16-36L which you've just bought recently, and think the 28-80/3.5-5.6 & 75-300/4-5.6 you've been using up until now are absolute rubbish.
What do you dump the two non- L's in favour of?

First, thanks for the advice. I did some research and decided on the 100-400.
I ordered it Sunday night from B & H and it arrived in Ohio on Wednesday.
What a sweet lens!
Should be perfect at the track.
Thanks again.
