Hi

I haven't been around much lately with work and yardwork taking up so much time..Photography and processing are still there but I have to confess I am backlogged..So here are some photos ..recent and not so recent but never posted here before. The most recent being the first ...of a Bobolink a few weeks back, then a Savanah Sparrow around the same time but mikes away. The Bluebird is another from several weeks ago now, The Merlin is from last Fall, the Northern Hawk owl shots are from February at -30 degrees C and the Snowy Owl at a similar temperature and one of several photos I have of this Species from this day and the only time in my experience to see a Snowy on a wire. Hope you enjoy them and C and C are always welcome.

All images taken with the 30D and 400 F5.6 except for the second and possiibly first N Hawk Owl shots were taken with the 500F4 ( thanks to busbyea )

I love these kinds of thread, the Best of the Best always find their way into them. ;)

Very nice! I love that cross-eyed owl! As to being busy, I'm having a lot of work done on my house, have a guest here helping with the work, then my job, yard work, and I'm dying to get out and shoot! Maybe in a few weeks!

Wonderful series. I would never have imagined seeing an owl on a wire. Maybe I've been looking in the wrong places. ;) The Bluebird is outstanding.

:D Thanks and I hear you Dan and I should have included this shot as well. The head turn hides some of the yellow on the back of the neck and that is why I chose the other but I like this one too for the reason you identified. See you in the field:D
