We have an eagles nest next to our house, but the eagles dont get too close to our house too often, which is probably a blessing for our cats and small dogs....LOL
Anyway, when they do get close to the house, the second they see you they take off. Well this am when I got up about 6 and the sun had already been up for 2 hours, I saw this young guy on one of the logs on my beach. I laughed knowing that as soon as I would open the slidder on my badroom deck he would fly away. Well he didnt, and he stayed even after I shut the door when I came back in. So I went and put my gear together and went back out on the deck in my skivies and took these pictures....

Look at that feather pattern! Beautiful. Almost doesn't even look like a Bald Eagle. Could this be a Golden Eagle Juvie?

Well, I am no bird expert, and even though we "DO" have goldens up here they are rare...and with an eagles within view of the house and having never seen a Golden (in the wild) here I am pretty sure its a bald eagle...
But like I said, I am NO expert...if someone with more avian knowledge then me says its a Golden then I would certainly defer to them...

Well, I have seen hundreds of Bald Eagles here and have never seen that color or pattern on any of the juvies here, and we don't have Goldens here other than a rare passerby. But I found these shots on Google and it looks quite similar to what you have photographed. So with that, I'm going to say you have a Golden there. Still just an educated guess though. :)
Look down the page to Fig. 6.

Well, this am I got up at five to take my kids to basketball practice. After GETTING DRESSED today I went and look out on the beach to see if the eagle was back. This time there were two young ones.
But get this, one of my cats (of which my wife is certain will be eaten by said eagles) was STALKING the eagles on the beach! By the time i saw her, Hollis had both feet in the creek (which isnt 8 feet at its widest as you can see where the eagles are still standing i the creek at the same spot where they were when the cat was about to eat them) and she was all crouched down ready to pounce just a few feet from the eagles. Now my cats do a number on the local wildlife, but to take on an eagle, now that cat has some cajones, and VERY little brains....LOL
Anyway, here is a not so good shot of the eagles after my wife called the cat away. She wouldnt wait for me to get my camera to shoot the whole event!?!?! I just wanted some cool pictures, whats wrong with that? I bet you all have NEVER seen a cat pounce on an eagle. i tried to explain how cool that would be,, but she wasn't having any! She called the cat back before i could get my camera stuff together...!
Anyway, here are the two eagles next to each other....I still think they are Balds cuz the goldens I have seen are smaller...

And here is a picture of Hollis, know from this day hence as Eagle Slayer...or maybe Bait, depending on the outcome....LOL

Again, sorry about the shots, they were all quick to show as part of this story....LOL

These look like Bald Eagles. But that brown one does not look like the same bird as in your fist images.

I'm not a bird expert but it looks like a immature bald eagles. Out here in Dutch Harbor we have a lot of eagles and a ton of immature bald eagles These pictures looks just like the eagles we have here.
Love the shots and the story with the cat!!

You are right, I dont think they are the same birds. The one that was on the log was much closer then the rest of the immature baldies we usually get, plus they dont stick around when they are people as close as I was.

They show up in so many different feather patterns that I have to believe it is a Baldie just cuz thats the VAST mojority of eagles we get here as well...
As far as the cat goes, from now on I am NOT going to tell the wife if I see it again and see what kind of pictures I can get! I am SOOO bummed I didnt get a shot of the cat about to pounce on a predator 2 or 3 times its size.....LOL
