Here (http://www.samys.com/product_detail.php?item=10137) is one, but I don't think it snaps on - looks like it sticks on. I haven't seen a snap on one for Canons.

Where can I buy the Plastic snap on screen protector for my 400D?Even if you find one, don't waste your money. The surface that you would be trying to protect is already a very rugged plastic shield over the LCD display.
Most folks who get the flip-up devices find that they are a royal pain in the you-know-where to use. Every time you want to look at an image you need to open the cover and then you have to close it again to take another shot.
PDA-style protective film actually does nothing but make the LCD screen harder to see. Anything that could damage the LCD cover that Canon put on the camera would rip right through the protective film that you apply.
If you do manage to damage Canon's LCD cover, it costs only a little over $10 (U.S.) to get a new one, and replacing it is fairly easy. You use a suction cup to pull the old one off, replace the adhesive strip around the LCD display and stick the new cover on.

Hi. Just to add to the views.
I also have a 400D and I bought an adhesive protective cover. This works really well for me and also gives me the confidence that the LCD is protected (but always cautious anyway). This one came from the USA and I also bought one for my ipod. For the small cost of the adhesive cover I thought it was worth the peace of mind and little effort to try and protect my camera as best as I can. I also find I dont mind getting finger prints on it anymore as before I was almost OCD about cleaning the LCD. LOL.

Clear packing tape works just fine and helps protect the LCD plastic from zippers and metal buttons on my jacket and metal rivets on my jeans. It gets scratched easily but is very cheap to replace. Palm screen savers works well also and are thicker than packing tape. When the tape begins to look "foggy" I simply replace it. Cheap insurance even if the LCD cover can be replaced for $10.00--you can get 3 rolls of tape for that. I also cover the top LCD with tape--don't know how much or how hard that one is to replace. I have done this with all my cameras. I think a watch mineral crystal is more rugged than what is on the camera. I have scratches on all my watches.

I just got one for my xt and it's not bad..Atleast it protects the screen..Snaps on over the view finder. And the good thing about it is the shade can slip off if you use it indoors.
