"Godess of the Wind" is the name/title of the statue translated from Flemish "Godin van de Wind". (Nieuwpoort-Belgium)
Using this composition I tried as good as possible to create depth using the clouds, pier and the Godess looking to the horizon.

I think you definately succeeded in the "depth" of the horizon and clouds.. I like it a lot...
I have one nit pick and one "doozy"
The nitpick: Clone out the kid in red... if he was wearing any other color I would not have been at all bothered...
The Doozy: The Matt just looks all wrong to me for the image. The huge black border.. takes away from the openess and depth of the image by stuffing into a small confining box... Other than to eliminate the matt all together I have no further definitive suggestions.. but I would think a white matt with a drop shadow or something similarly "airy" would be a big improvement.

I have to agree with CDS, and the new one looks so much better for the white mat.
The shot I'd like to see is a sunset done on a slightly cloudy evening with a little wind - a slow shutter speed and some movement in the clouds would show the Goddess for what she is.

Wow, I like the way you composed the shot Frédéric. And for me the black mat looks much better. Lets me focus right in on the photo. And the person in red gives me a reference for size. For me, #1 does it. Nice shot.

Again a matter of taste I guess. I like both for different reasons.
The black for what your opinion is and the white because it also creates space. BUT for both I prefer the two characters (one red) sitting next to the pier because they give indeed reference for size.
