Pennies in a stream.... (you know the song). ;)
My first long exposure trials with the PowerShot G7: ISO 100, 8s, F/5.6, taken @ 10:25 PM in manual mode.
Is it possible to avoid the stars ? Because it is supposed to be moonlight, not starlight (though there is a star up there over the moon) !
Comments welcome; I was hesitating about having the opposite pier in the middle (like here), or on the lower third.

Great shot.

Interesting that the water looks so sharp at that long exposure.

The only way to avoid stars is to pp them away.

Thanks pwm2; by the way, do you know what generates the stars ? The lens, the diaphragm ? Regarding the water, I was suprised myself. I was expecting it to be "cottony" like the fountain. It is one of the reasons I kept the 50/50 framing, rather than the more classical 1/3 - 2/3.

The star in the moon is caused by the aperture of the lens. The number of blades will affect how many rays you get.
