with self portraits it isn't easy to get the focus down. i'd either up the ISO a little bit or turn your lights up to try and get to f/8 or f/11.

other than that, the pose is cool, the lighting really suits you....would rather see the rest of your elbow though.

thanks ill try using the lights on full power next time to reach a higher f-stop. its a real pain to try to focus on a blank background, then jump in the frame, pose and hope your whole body is in the frame.

hey nice. better than me right now...i can't even jump with this stupid legbrace and crutches...kinda makes it harder. but yeah, you can definitely shoot at a whole stop slower (1/60) and then bring up that f-stop. f/8 is usually the sweet spot but you can work it even more if you want since you have a black bg.
good luck and have fun.

too bad you are OOF. When I do self portraits I do this to make sure they are in Focus:

Set Up your camera where you need it. Put a strobe that you dont use or something else that can be set to about your hight in the spot where you plan on posing.

Trigger the timer of the camera with the automatic zoom being set, it will focus now.

Hurry, move the strobe and pose in the same spot.

Works like a Charm

That's exactly what I have learned to do!
