I can't fault this image - great DOF, great action shot, great composition - the only thing I have a problem with is the saturation - it seems a little on the heavy side - could it be my monitor?
As I said, great image.

Thanks CyberDyneSystems and David.
You are right David, I did boost a little the color saturation because I like colors, but it's a personal taste

It looks slightly overshapened to me. Nice pic though

I aghree that the color is "more than lifelike" .. but that is the "Velvia" look we have grown so accustomed to.. and often strive for..

For me .. the saturation adds to the image.

It does not go so far as to "look" artificial.. not in any way.. (on my monitor)

...but it does offer that Velvia richness in color that makes us stop and think.. "now why does this subject look sooooo good in this photo when I rarely stop to consider a bee in real life?.."

very pretty - I just love bugs and I don't mind the saturation here at all - I would probably crop some off the right and bottom just to remove the white parts of the flower, which I find distracting

nice shot, I tried similar ones with 100mm macro and still did not succeed in freezing so active bees, how did you bribe it to pause for you ( juging from the wings) ,
question though, how close were you with the 50mm ?
pretty shot
