Cool images. I like #2 the best. What is the structure in #1?

I was curious about #1 also, looks like it was shot off a battleship or carrier..

The first image is an old soviet AA gun (well, I think it's soviet). All pics taken in Iraq.

#2 is a real winner, but the vapor trail has to go.
Love the low angles in 3 & 4
# 5 has a lovely architectural abstract feel to it, except for the artifacts.
An enjoyable series indeed

Thanks for the C&C guys.
Frank, I didn't notice the artifacts on #5 till you pointed them out, but I definitely see what you mean now. I think I rushed on that one a bit. I'll have to work on that image. Those are actually lights from a low flying aircraft on #2, but I do have one without. I'll post some more in a week or so as I don't want to flood this forum and start annoying folks.

Here's a handy tool I found very useful for color artifacts

Thanks for the tip! I was going to try that out on the mosque dome, but when I opened it up, most of the artifacts weren't there. I'm guessing it had something to do with uploading a larger pic than I was supposed to and some type of auto re-size by the forum ftp? Here is a reduced image of the dome, as well as one I took last night during the full moon, from the opposite side.
