I just got back from South Lake Tahoe and took a few shots. This is the first time I have used Lightroom 1.1 and thought I would post a pic on here and get some feedback from you guys. Please let me know what I could do to make this pic better. I know you guys are brutally honest and thats what I am looking for, thanks so much.

I really like the shot for composition, I think however that its too dark it distracts the eye from being able to pick out a focus. It could probably benefit from tone blending perhaps. I would like to give you some more advice but I'm still in those learning stages as it is so perhaps someone could come in with some more specific advice but either way I think its a good shot but could probably do with a changes if you want it to pop.
I don't mean to derail anything or detract from the photo here but I'm actually headed to S. Lake Tahoe in a few weeks I'd be interested to hear what you think of it.

Your right the picture does lack a bit of pop, but I dont know what else I could do to get that pop, hopefully someone here will have some good advice.
As far as south lake tohoe is concerned it is a beautiful place, all you really need to do is drive or walk along the lake and you will have tons of great shots. Also Heavenly Valley has the tram open in the summer so you can still go to the top, but i think its 30 bucks a person.

i think if u adjust curves a bit then dodge it a bit, it should rock!! pretty shot.

Its a bit easier to show you rather then explain it out but anyways what it comes down to is basicly bringing a little contrast and brightness into the image. Masking out the sky and then bringing up the level of the rocks and masking out the rest of it. Then just adjustment to to taste.

for me the color is what really makes the shot awesome.
