really fun, used a tutorial link found here after seeing the effect, added a Poster Edge effect (1,0,6)
Dont really have a lot of images suited to this kind of effect, thought this one worked well

One of the things I found with doing these, is that you have to lose a bit of the really fine detail. Other wise it can look like a really harsh selective-focus shot.
On my hast one, I BuZZed it a bit first to drop out the small stuff.

That guide makes everything bass ackwards! When I select gradiant tool and set focal point, it selects everything I want to be in focus, out of focus. I have played with options for the past 45 minutes and am ready to pull out my hair.
Does anyone have a guide that goes into a little more depth than this one?

Perhaps if you inverted the selection first, would that help?

When you did the quick mask, go back into normal mode and invert the selection SELECT | INVERT
Just thinking aloud, but it might help

I tried invert and it did nothing. However, i then tried INVERSE and it worked! Thanks a bunch! :D
