This was a candid snap of the wife. I told her to just ignore me as I practiced my fill flash techniques. Ignoring me is not too much of a stretch for her  .

Do the shadows on her face ruin this capture? I had the FEC turned down pretty good so she didn't look like Casper. Did I turn it down too much? Sorry, don't remember the FEC setting.

Thanks for your input!!

nah the shadow looks natural. u dont want to take away all the shadows or you'll end up with flat lighting.

I think the shadows on her face are fine. The shadow casted by her head is more distracting.

Jagged shadows on the face is the true hallmark of a snapshot. If this is a snapshot it is a good one. If it is a portrait it is not a good one!

Looks more than acceptable to me. You've even got the focus in the right place which is more than many succeed in doing in spite of all the technology.

This is definitely of the snapshot variety. Thanks to all for your comments.
