i didnt tweak with it alot, i thought it turned out pretty good. im still messing with the batch of photos me and my buddy took today. when i converted it to .jpg it seemed to lose alot of the sharpness.. is that normal?

Yes, you will need to resharpen as you have done so much blending you will lose the edge contrast.

Another thing I noticed, when I changed the format it didn't change too much, but when I loaded it to photobucket, the quality really took a dive

anytime you "downsize" for the web the jpg compression removes date that impacts the edge contrast. You must reshapern an image anytime you downsize it. You also need to make sure you are converting to sRGB as it makes quite a diffence in web view.
