I'm having a big problem with condensation. While on a trip, my D30 and lens come with me into the air conditioned hotel. The next morning, when stepping outside, everything fogs up for 30-45 minutes!

I know this is nothing new, but how does everyone else handle this? I don't want to have to leave my equipment outside just to keep it ready to go.

Is there any easy answer to this problem or am I just seeing it more often than you guys since I'm in a hot & humid climate???

Hello

You may "heat" up the camera with the hairdryer.

If You have a decent temperature to start with, then You get no problem.

This trick worked for me in Florida in early September.

Used a cooler and 3 or 4 gel packs, (they hold heat as well as cold) left them outside till I and the camera retired for the evening. Put camera and lenses in cooler with hot gel packs and it was ready to go in the AM no fogging.

Sounds crazy but it worked.
