A few comments, talking about the technical merits of the shots:
#1
- Standing there and taking photos will spoil the pro's image because people always look the wrong way. And decent pro will either be careful to hold their attention or tell you to bugger off.
- The sky's blown out but the people are ok exposed. If you want both expose for the sky and flash to light the people. Some people prefer things the way you did them with natural light and the sky blown out.
- Color is wrong, dress looks a bit yellow

#2 lacks contrast, and is too bright

#3 Dress is blown.

None of the images grab me, but group shots rarely do. The shots of the couple they're showing no emotion, that's what makes a good picture, emotion.

Tim, Mr Blunt, obviously knows his stuff but since I'm in the beginner boat, too, I want to say 'great beginning'. Keep practicing and asking questions!

As is, they look pretty good...nice shots for your first time :)
1 could use bit of fill flash to light their faces (understandable that the pro may have not wanted you using flash though)
2 The dead space at the front doesn't really do much for me, also a case where a bit of fill would have been nice.
3 Tilt doesn't really work for me and it seems a bit dark although the highlights are kind of blown (should be recoverable though)

I had a 2 min go at them...recovered some highlights, added a bit of fill, cropped and some vignetting..

Yeah, they looked un-PPed, but I was bored so I figured I would dink around with them :)

The others' comments are on target, but I think you're off to a good start. The last one is nicely composed. I think I would have liked the second one as a landscape shot rather than a portrait one, too. Overall, a good effort. :)

Nice attempt. I actually like the sky in the first one. Just goes to show everyone's opinions of things are so different from one another. I am so glad that you finally got your RAW files on your pc. Ever since I started shooting RAW (like 5 daysb ago)(lol), I also shoot + JPG cause I am worried about what will happen if I can't properly photoshop a RAW or if something happens and I can't open the RAW image.. lol.
