Awesome!
I've never seen color shots of Nash's before! All my dads pix were B&W (And no; he didn't save one for me!!) :(

I saw the thread recognising the name Metropolitan and seeing the images it was one of those nagging memories "does not seem quite right, I did not know they were USA cars......"

Well, I found this link that may interest you http://www.stevvia.demon.co.uk/history.htm Brtish automotive building at its best ;)

Your images show them at their showroom best ~ I wonder how many are used on a daily basis ~ next time it would nice to see some interiors and even under the bonnet, sorry hood for my transatlantic cousins.

PS Sadly for the UK many things have changed in the UK car building industry and all the old marques from my childhood have gone :(

Here are the only interior and under the "bonnet" shots I took.

Wow, very basic engine setup there. Were they reliable? I'm betting yes. (Albeit with a few modern parts attached.)

Very cool the original little car. Many around here have the spare tire Continental kit. Just right for making a tiny car into a land yacht.

I quite like these dinky little cars. We had a few down here for a rally a few years ago. Here's my take...

They certainly are in Concours condition and as for that lovely old BMC B series engine, nothing simpler or easier to work on. My old MG ZB Variant Magnette had one with twin 2.5inch SU carbs and for a 1958 motor weighting in approx 1.5 tons it could accelerate nicely and exceed 100MPH with its 1500cc engine and also handled well on its crossply tyres.....aahh!!! Long since sold, I wonder if it still running?

:)
