Hi, I've had a Canon S2 since Christmas and was wondering if there was anything I should buy to enhance my photos. I mostly do birds so zooming and clarity is important, but I have no idea what that would mean I need. I also take pics of butterflies so macro is important too. I'm not looking to spend much money, but I'll go for good quality pieces/lenses if necessary.
And one more thing- what would be a good camera for my next upgrade? A DSLR? Would the same lenses fit it as well?
Big thanks to anyone who replies in advance. It seems so much better to be able to ask real people with bird photography experience than some guy at a store!;)

Hi, Liz! If you want to invest in further equipment for your S2, you have the choice of teleconverter and wide angle converter. You'll also need an adapter tube.
If you end up with a DSLR, you'll need new lenses. And a money tree.

get a teleconverter then take it from there , you can get great bird pics with it plus insects as well, the move to a dslr is all £££ ,i own a 350d plus a 100-400 which i dropped because of the weight and now have a large repair bill, owning a dslr plus expensive lenses doesnt mean you can take great pics, i delete many of my dslr pics, in hindsight i was contented with my s2 untill i saw pics by posters on this site which i thought i would get all the time, i just got my s2 back today and am looking forward to taking it out tomorrow for a full days hike , something i couldnt do with my dslr setup
this pic was take from ten feet away in the middle of a pond with the dc58b

these were taken on auto which i have now learned to avoid since getting my dslr, many of the dslr owners are still using their s2s which must say something
