hair is blown out in areas and the eyes are in deep shadow, not the best lighting.
She looks like she hasnt slept in a week.

If you have a reference shot, please feel free to post it. If not, then feel free to edit the way you would like to view the image. Thanks.

I like the composition. I am not really bothered by the highlight on the hair, but the hair over the shoulders seems a bit dark and lacks sufficient definition. I am wondering if you did some burning and dodging on the image because I see something that seems like a dark smudge on the middle of the forehead. Overall, I think that it is very good. but perhaps a bit more lighting on the face would help.

I agree with STR. The image looks backwards. Her face is in the dark while her shoulder is almost blown. If you want to see some edits, post up a RAW file. :)

I like the comp. except for the angle, looking down @ her....How did you get your signature like that on the photo? Is it a font or your own via a program?

Yeah, she was wearing a bronzer on her skin. I can easily fix that. As for the lighting, the sun was from the back and angling down like that, her shoulder was blown out a little bit. I will see what I can do with that.

Can't say that I like the crop. Too much deadspace above her head.

I agree with the others in that the ultra-bright shoulder has to go.

Nice otherwise.

Honestly....I actually like the photo. I think it has a nice feel to it. My main bug is the eyes. I wish they were a little more detailed, with some color and highlights. I like the hot highlights on the hair as well. Try one more thing.....add some vignetting, and maybe try a lomo to add some flair to it.

I tried some Photoshopping on the jpg image, but the results are questionable, at best. Some of the hair in the jpg image didn't have sufficient detail to lighten the levels so I decided to try some copying and pasting to add more detail to the hair over shoulders. If I had stopped there things would have been better, I think. My effort at toning the skin turned out overdone.

I hope this one is better. I left the forehead alone though. Brought out some of the hair highlights.

It looks very good. There is a bright spot on the left side of her chin that could use the healing brush.

I saw that after I posted it and I was on my way to work...busy night and I didn't get to touch it up while at work. It's from the sun shining through the hair. Thanks for the compliment though. I appreciate it.

i'm certainly not trying to be harsh...but i just don't really like the shot all that much.

doesn't grab my attention much and I don't like the angle which it was shot from. Either further up or even with her may have been better. Also, I enjoy shots where the model is looking at and away from the camera, but she's maybe looking too far away for my tastes.

Christian, your last rendition is excellent. Great job. Her face came alive with the eyes showing their true colors. Ill ask for one more rendition, to try and make it flawless. Brighten up the eyes (blue area) and add a tad of contrast, so the white highlights pop a bit more. Then, throw a *tad* more light on the skin, followed by a layer of skin gaussian blurred at 3.0, and the opacity set at 50%ish, or until her skin looks silky smooth. Finally, throw a bit more light on the teeth, and whiten them up a bit. However, these are all nitpicks. I think the last rendition is great.
