Exposure seems to be set for the sky, but that is where there is the least detail in this shot. Seems an ideal candidate for a blended/merged composite in post processing. That would give more detail to the underexposed areas while maintaining the color and limited detail of the sky.

I played around with your pic a pit, hope you don't mind. There's still a fair bit of detail in those shadows - I brought that out a bit and made the sky a bit more intense.
I'm pretty new to digital photography and using photoshop with "proper" photos but I'm learning a lot fast and having great fun with it.

the technique i used here give a similar effect to what you could get by taking two shots on a tripod and compositing them in PS, but it is a bit less work I think.
I don't know how experienced you are with photoshop (or even if you have it :) ) but I have posted the photoshop file (resized to 800x600) so you can see what I did if you want to give it a go yourself.
the file is here (http://www.arumdevil.com/stuff/pics/photo/lake/lake.psd.zip)

I like your changes A_Devil. The extra detail and especially that little island really adds something to the picture.

nice shot but seems that you forgot the golden rule for landscape 1/3 land 2/3 sky or the opposite, thanks to postprocessing to recompose it :)

Is that a very small moon? Unless I am mistaking it should be much bigger.
