I've not posted much of my stuff lately, just been to busy. We are very pleased with the outcome of this shot so I thought I'd share it with you guys.
The July issue featured a story on the history of downtown Main St. This was shot from an unusual perspective as I had to cram myself into the bushes, put the camera on a tripod, use the timer and move the overhanging branches out of the way enough to get the composition I wanted. It was shot early to mid morning so as to capture the morning sun. I don't think the time on the clock is accurate..I'll have to go back and look at the exif as it is not in this shot.
What is important in the shot is you can see the old clock, the old city hall, and of course the gazebo.

Great-looking cover pic. I'm sure it will help sell the issue.

Very, very nice shot. Amazing morning colors. What is the EXIF data after all? I imagine it was shot at 17mm considering your gear. Very nice gear as well btw.

OK, here is the EXIF data from the original shot.
Taken @ 5:55am
Canon EOS 5D w/grip
Canon 24mm-70mm f/2.8L
1/250
Aperture Priority Mode
f/8.0
24mm focal length
ISO 200
Shot in RAW
I used the 24mm-70mm Lens because I was shooting on a plane that causes "keystoning" when using my 17mm-40mm f/4.0L.

Love that morning light.
The leaves in the upper corners are a nice touch.
I've never been keen on the HDR effect, but everything else about this is top-notch.

Thanks,
It would have been very easy to photoshop the leaves in but I didn't want to do that. I had to hold the leaves just right with my right hand while I shot with my remote.
