Just got my new 30D today and I took it out for a try -- here is a shot I thought came out decent - please let me know what I could have done to improve this shot.

Anyone? Is there anything good/correct with this shot?

It's a good image although the main subject seems to be too centred to me and your picture might benefit by some cropping on the right hand side. I've also applied a little sharpening to add bite - I hope you don't mind.

Shots like that SCREAM for some great bokeh. The shot is pretty good. What lens is that? 18-55?

it was shot with the 28-135 IS - AV mode, I will post the EXIF info later when I can access it on my home PC.
