Thanks for the kind words Sir-

Yeah I'm finding that out too-

Is it better to shoot on manual or auto focus when tryin to shoot Bugs?

It depends on how close you're going to get. At lower magnifications you can get away with autofocus provided you use a small enough f-stop. Once the DOF starts to get really fine then set manually to a focus point and focus by moving the camera back and forth.

That looks like an expensive knife :) Nice shot on that one too. I also like the fish... how did you shoot them and where were they?

I do not understand what you mean by "how did you shoot themand where"

They were all shot at my house on my back porch.I dont know how to post my camera shooting info-

LOL, you have fish on your porch?

What I meant was, did you take it through the side of an aquarium? Did you use flash etc...

So are those real diamonds on the knife? Seems awfully impractical for just about everything except display.

Tis a good start to it all. Macro takes a lot of time and practice to hone your skills, don't despair, just keep at it. I quite like the fish shot, they look like cuties.

Yes I took the shot through the side of an aquarium-I used a 3 watt led flashlight for the shot as my lighting-Canon 100mm was used for the shot-No tripod all free hand-Sorry for the confusion-

As for the knife-It's all in ones budget-And yes them are real diamonds.I work for a knife shop-So stuff like this knife is easy for me to come buy-

You don't need better equipment; you need more practice. As well as some Post-Processing lessons.

Budget and personal preference I guess... If I spend $1000 on something I want it to be functional. Don't think that would change even if I had a mil in my pocket. Well maybe just a little. ;)

What makes you think this knife isn't "functionable"-It's very functional-It's just looks better than other's.
