View Full Version : Hairy Moth on a yellow flower (id?)

I have no clue about moth species, but this one was hovering around some flowers I was shooting the other day. I whipped out the extension tubes and got him to pose for me.

It's a skipper butterfly, not a moth. The pics are too close to work out which species, but they're pretty good though.

The first picture is nice, the second one is a little too cropped.

Oh and an easy way to tell between moths and butterflies is...anything with bulbs at the end of the antennae (sp?) are butterflies.

2nd one is straight from the camera with a touch of sharpening..should've backed off a bit though. Thanks for the ID fellas :)
