I may be visiting Joshua Tree tomorrow morning, as I will be within 100 miles of the park for work.
Does anybody have any favorite locations? Maybe even sample images so I know what to expect?
I've camped there before but it was years ago, well before I became a photographer.

Barker Dam, Jumbo Rocks, Keys View, Split Rock, Ryans Mt, Keys Ranch, Hidden Valley, Cactus Garden, Cottonwood, the list goes on and on... If you only have a few hours I would pick Barker Dam and take the loop trail. It is only 1.5 miles and you can see the wonderland of rocks, petroglyphs, and maybe some local wildlife. I would be careful since the temps will be around 106° tomorrow. Take at least 2 liters of water.
