Title says it all. On concrete. Hit the ground with a smack and a loud crack. Man I freaked!!! Luckily it was in the pouch and it landed on the lens cap side and I had a UV on there. Destroyed the UV (shattered) and the lens cap (cracked). Lens = OK!

Man I feel bad for freaking out, but geez man, she just fails to pay attention sometimes. Don't worry, I didn't yell at her or cuss her out. She turned white as a ghost and immediatly started crying - there was no need to add to it. But man, I almost.... could have................ grrrrrr.......

Wow - glad everything turned out okay - got to love those well-built lenses!

(and at least your wife didn't delete all the photos off your hard drive like another one did on here...)

she can delete them off the hard drive if she wants to. I have them ALL backed up on 2 other portable hard drives, they are on my laptop HDs and I have DVD back ups. So if she wipes out the computer - no biggy

And they say that a lens build isnt as important.

Goes to show you, even if it is ONE time, when that well built lens is put through a test and comes out fine, it was well worth the investment.

Good to hear everything is good to go:D
