I may have a side view, I'll have to go through my files.
It's a tropical plant that I photographed at the Crystal Atrium in Oklahoma City.
I'll post another view if I can find it.

Nice shot, but don't you tink that it would be better if you focused on the inside of the flower (etamines) instead, the petales/ sepales are obviously bigger at the side and could bring a bette aritstic look if they were out of focus in a narrow DOF.

I think your idea of focusing on the rear of the inside would have been interesting. Next time I see one I'll give it a shot.
Here is a shot of the side of the blossom, I'm not sure it's the same one, but it is the same type of flower.
