OK...I've read just about every word I could find on the shutter release issue/adjustment for the 1 series bodies. I noticed that Check Westfall (?) mentioned that it can be adjusted by the service tech without opening the camera or disassembly, so why don't I find some cool instructions on how to do it. I'm starting to get disappointed by you "hacks" out there. you can hack a 300D into a 10D, but not figure out how to adjust the shutter release....... :)
Seriously, if anyone has instructions let me know. I can't find them at all.

On the first MKII's the vertical shutter is ultra-sensitive.

its not just on the MkII's, but that thread is well past its prime. I did get an email from canon explaining that the adjustment was done without opening the camera and required special tools/parts that canon has. make me wonder.... I imagine there is a plunger under the cap that is threaded or something like that. Wish I had the quevos (sp) to try it myself.....
