Is there a site on the Interent where you can plug in an American zip code and have it tell you when the sun rises and sets in that location on a specific date?

This new website called Google (www.google.com) is great for finding things on the internet. You type in something that you want and hit search. It then gives you numerous pages that relate to what you type in. ;):lol:;)

Sorry had to do it.

Okay, that explains it. It's google, not kanookle. I kept going to kanookle.com wanting to search for stuff, but I only found videos by this guy asking you to vote about stuff in his life.

Don't most newspapers give sunrise and sunset?

www.sunrisesunset.com

You can look up your city and print a monthy calander with sunrise/sunset AND moonrise/moonset, as well as lunar phases.

Who needs the internet?

"tell you when the sun rises and sets in that location on a specific date?"

I alteady know how to tell for anywhere in the world.

You see it gets light at sun rise and goes dark at sun set.

I've got a handy calculator on my PDA which gives me more info about sunrise and sunset than I'll ever need, it's called Ephemeris.

Download it here http://home.comcast.net/~jonsachs/

The PDA software is ideal! What a great idea. I'm going to look around and see if anything is written for Palm OS. Thanks. And thanks to all for your help.

If you have a Mac you can use a widget called Sol (http://www.apple.com/downloads/dashboard/information/sol.html). If you're using a PC I'm sure there are similar alternatives by way of Yahoo! Widgets or something.

My favorite: www.wunderground.com. They even have a mobile version which I use on my cell-phone. So you get weather, sunrise/set, moonrise/set, and phase of the moon all at once.

There is also a PC version of Ephemeris available at the link given above by Col M.

I don't know if you've found something already but here are a few things for Palm OS :)

If you live in a coastal area, there's a Palm OS app called Tide Tool that also give sunrise, sunset, moon rise, moonset, and phases of the moon.
