My first post here! Good day everyone!
I introduce my self:
My name is Eskander 16yo from sweden. Armed with Canon EOS350D.
I am a math student but also studying Visual effects with Motion and AE.
and about photo I can tell you only one thing: Im loving it!
(Just to let you know, English is not my mother tongue. So please forgive me if I have grammar/spell errors. Feel free to correct me anytime) :)
Now lets talk about some good stuff.
These images are great. I mean great!!!! they are kinda strange. They are not like other photos. They are kinda 3d. Yeah, they have something which makes them look like 3d. I dont know if I made my self clear.
Is it an especial lens or ...? How these pictures were taken? any ideas?

its shadow and highlight work with a bit of burning by the looks of it

the shadows have been pulled out so you see more of the shado side of a object thus making it look moretextured

I used to see a lot of photos framed like this in National Geographic magazines. Although not post processing, It's done using a wider than normal focal length lens & careful composition.

They look like HDR images to me. But then as Dennis Miller says, "thats just my opinion, I could be wrong",

Yupe. Utra wide angle lens. Something like 10mm - 15mm lens for your 350D. The photog might have added some filter on the lens too. Of course, post process the photo to achieve this.
