Hi, I notice that Kevin Kubota is now selling a lightroom preset pack at $20, if anyone has purchased these yet and would care to give a review it would be appreciated.

I haven't seen them yet but if they are as good as the actions I hear everyone rave about then I might have to look into them.

Yeh, I've checked out the link but theres no samples, I wonder if they will be in any way comparable to the art actions, a bargain at $20 if they come close.

I would like to see an original file and then one of each preset. :)

Just create your own.

Why'd you buy a camera and lenses from Canon & Sigma? You coulda created your own...

Here are other Presets available

I've downloaded them and there seems to be some overlap. Though not sure yet what the deltas are at this point.

That doesn't even make any sense.

yeah, and it also doesn't contribute anything to the discussion to just say to someone, make your own. with your gear arsenal, you're obviously serious about photography -- why not share something useful instead of trying to come off as an expert too good to share what you've learned?

sorry to take up space with this post, but responses like that annoy me to no end. there are a lot of "experts" here who apparently have everything figured out and make dumb posts like this. if you say create your own, contribute something - like maybe an example of what you've done and what it does/how it works/why you did it.

I like trying out new presets. sometimes I'll build custom versions out of those I try. specifically now, I like some of the functionality of DPP and would like to see if there's a way to create the DPP-like in-camera presets for Lightroom.

I'd love to see some samples, Eric. If you have the time or patience :D

I get it. And I've got an English sense of humour

There are lots of free presets out there. In fact Heather Green has created a really nice list of free presets available.

Check out her list at: http://www.heathergreenphoto.com/blog/2008/2/2/adobe-lightroom-free-presets.html
