Guys, what's the best, most secure focus rail system available?
I'm using a Bogen/Manfrotto rail right now and it has way too much play in it for serious work.

B&H shows carries two Novoflex systems:

Are they any good? Solid?
Many thanks. :)
EDIT: Here's another one from Novoflex:

Novoflex has a very good reputation, but they are very pricey. Manfrotto makes some focusing rails that are a lot cheaper:

I have one of these, they're good, but way too fiddly for macro work imho. If it's still or flower photography, then you'll be ok, but with live insects...nah.

Dave, many thanks. I actually have that very rail now and all I can say is BLECH! The thing is so wobbly it's enough to make me want to pull my hair out.

You're welcome :) I only used it a few times, and put it away into storage. I just actually found it now whilst going through items to pack!

Josh, I've use both an old Novoflex that I got on ebay for about $50 and a Velborn that I bought about 15 years ago. Both work well.
