I suggest 'search' at POTN as the best online photography school. And it's free ;)

i have learned alot here,
i want to master my camera in the shortest amount of time possible, iso,af, all the custom stuff like night shooting, indoors, out, c.Fn1-4.
i have been an artist for nearly 30 years ( traditional and graphic) for the past5 years i have been doing 3d graphics and i realised that in order to get photorealism, i will have to use a camera, the graphic software ( maya, poser, bryce, zbrush are all fine but i love the spontaneity of photography.
i am profecient w/ light, compsition, subject matter ect.
i need to master my camera,

thx

Ahh... A basic start in photography?

Might I suggest picking up a basic book on photography and reading through it?

Ignore custom functios. I never bother with them.

In photography you need to know that:
ISO is how fast the film is - the faster the grainier.
shutter-speed - how fast the shutter opens and closes
aperture - how large the hole the camera sees through is.

faster shutter speeds can freeze motion while slower speeds can blur motion

small apertures mean more is sharp behind and in front of the point of focus.

a fast ISO is often needed by sports photographers shooting in poor light. The fast iso allows faster shutter speeds and narrower apertures in low light

For learning about different aspects of the Canon camera and such this is a good place to browse around

http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=MultiMiscPageAct&key=Learning_Station&fcategoryid=2533

and look at
http://www.usa.canon.com/dlc/controller?act=HomePageAct

This may be a bit dated as it references to film, but many of the fundamentals are the same. Select the TOC at the top menu bar. Take the quizes to get an idea in what areas your strengths and weaknesses are.
