Shot #2 is awesome. Love the way you captured motion in the dancers. Another great set of photos from CDS. If I could only be 1/2 the photographer you are I would be happy.

Great photos! You captured some pretty awesome action shots. Would you mind sharing with us the camera you used as well as lense and settings?

Number two was kind of a gift..

I usually can not get the shutter speeds needed to stop this kind of action.. and thus one has to wait for the "beat" .. a slight pause that often occurs in a dance.. usually these beats are perfectly timed with an extravagent pose.. and lasts mere fractions of a second..

But you do get used to the timing and can catch them..

In the second shot.. I am not at all sure what I was shooting fro,. but my timing was clearly NOT trying to catch a "beat".. 99% of the time I try a shot like that I get a blur (often the blur is nice in itself)

But it was luck that the lighting was such that I was able to freeze that shot.. :wink:
