Before I went to work this morning, I couldn't resist shooting Venus in front of the Sun. While I was still calibrating the manual settings of the camera, I got this shot.

300D, 100-300/4.5-5.6USM, 1/500 f8, handhold, AstroSolar sunfilter, 100% crop, minor postprocessing (no USM).
It was not the sharpest shot of the series but the birds make it a special shot, I think.
