This is one of several taken at last night's fireworks display at the capitol building in Springfield, IL. It was my first attempt at fireworks and I'm fairly pleased with it. C&C welcome!

I like it ! The only suggestion I would make is to straighten the photo in PP. Still, nice shot !

Yeah, the camera was level, it's the wide-angle distortion on the 10-22 lens. I need to buy some software to fix this.

I agree with this. It is a nice shot though. Wish it was nice enough here on the fourth to get some shots.

It didn't seem crowded, granted we were sitting on the back side of the capitol building. This year the fireworks were disappointing in comparison to past years. I was expecting the fireworks to be much higher in the air, but most were just as high as the one in the picture.

That's a really interesting first shot, btw :)

it was f/8 at 4 sec, I lost the rest of the EXIF for some reason!.. Some have it some don't
