I was editing earlier and for some reason just had to share this sweet face with you all... geez babies are amazing! Tough to top the natural light shot from the other day, but... oh so sweet...

CC welcome and appreciated.. I'm still trying to figure out my lighting.... story of my life.... Oh...and thanks for looking. :)

Awww its precious...the lighting looks awesome, very smooth, IMO perfect for a baby shot, you don't want anything harsh or shadows on them. That one is perfect.

Hi Char.... Thank you. :) Sweet.. yeah I think so too, but I"m partial to the teensy ones. :)

Thank you Sue. I'm always worried about getting the lighting right. I need more work, her head was a little dark so I duplicated the layer and added a curve adjustment layer to the head area only, and then erased the rest back in. Thank goodness for photoshop to help with my short commings. I'd love to nail it straight out of camera... practice, I suppose.

Thanks James. :) I was so glad I decided to turn her more towards the
camera. I love how her little face is showing so well. :)

Awesome, it looks like you have the light figured out on this one. Any more from this series to share?:)

Beautiful baby, and shot!

One small advice...IMHO, I would get rid of that "piece of forearm" to the left of the baby's legs...

Thanks for your feedback. I'll have to take a second look at that arm and see.... didn't seem to notice it being out of place.. :)

beautiful!
Thanks Erin. :) Nice of you to comment. Hope you are well. :)

That is SUCH an angelic expression. Some babies faces are not relaxed when they are sleeping and photographer's shoot anyway thinking "eyes are closed, good enough" but as YOU did, you have to wait until the face relaxes. Good job. Great lighting.
When I do the naked newborn with adult skin exposed type shots, I am never happy with the contrasting skin types. Newborn skin tends to be reddish, and adult skin tannish and I am not sure why that bugs, but I tend to try to photoshop it to get it closer, or print it in B&W. Would love to see this in b&w, would add to the simple innocence of the mood. That sounded corny, but you know what I mean. Good work, Chica!

It is wonderful. Lighting is spot on and the baby looks precious.
