Im off to Italy (Alicudi) in august, flying Oslo - London, London - Palermo with Ryanair.

Anyone have any experience with bringing a Lowepro Dryzone 200 as hand baggage when flying?

Im a bit worried that Ryan Air woun't let me do, cos of the size...

I carry mine every place I go. Never had a problem. It fits into the overhead on any normal jet around. Only ever had to put it under the seat on one of those little tiny commuter jets (40 passenger type) and a couple prop jobs. It's the same size as my normal carry on suitcase.

General Information on Ryanair's Hand Baggage Allowances

Each passenger is permitted to carry one piece of hand luggage to a maximum weight of 10kgs and with dimensions no greater than 55cm x 40cm x 20cm. In order that you and your baggage can be accepted for travel, please ensure that baggage is within the required weight and dimensions to carry on board.
The Dryzone 200 is within these limits but watch the total weight... :)

If you don't carry it with you, you may never have to carry it, with regret...

I've been travelling for the last 6 months with it stuffed absolutely full. Have flown from the US-amsterdam-bahrain-india-nepal-thailand all without problems thus far. If you need to make it much smaller you can always undo the front flap and then it's just the waterproof case with a flap of accessories/whatever hanging off to the side.
