I got this last night....Im happy with how it turned out ..normally I cant get the moon very good with the canon ..but I changed a couple of settings and used the timer .

lol..you'll have to outline where the "terminator" is...I thought I saw an alien..but just wasnt sure...;) heh...really makes me wish for a 600L lens.

The terminator is just the part of the moon that fades to black. Astrophotography is alot of fun if you have access to a good telescope and ccd you can have a blast, but regular film/digital cameras and lenses work quite well too! :D

I thought maybe it was the shading of the moon and that it shows an image...

I know this is a little old but would you share your settings? which lens did you use for this? My 75-300mm won't get that nice of a shot.

Sure it will, I took the eclipse shots with my very old 75-300 lens and they turned out great.
