Epson R260 Ink Refill / Chip Reseter, Feedback Requested

Looking for comments and feedback in regards to INK Refills kits for the Epson Printer R260.
I plan on purchasing the printer (Manufacturing date after Feb 2007) new - Best Buy Dot Com $49 and shipping.

I plan on using the R260 printer primarily for documents and CD/DVD labeling.
I have a Epson R1800 for photography which I care about.

Any one with experience here. Do these chip resetters work well?

I have had the R260 for about 6 months. I would recommend upgrading to the R300. Supposedly the R300 does a better job with the ink cartridges.
The R260 loves to use ink up at what I think is a very high rate - especially when the printer messes up. You have to turn it off and restart it which causes the printer to clean the heads. This happens alot when I print labels on DVDs - which is all I use it for.
The printer is very fussy about where you locate the DVD/CD holder. Often the first DVD would get shoved out of place and the printer error was that something was in the print path. You would have to restart at the expense of using lots of ink. I found that you have to push the holder all the way in until it stops - not where you are supposed to line up the arrows.
The printer seems to be very fussy about the generic ink cartridges - some generics won't work - the printer finds no ink cartridge at all!
I did not have much success with the chip resetters for my other printer an Epson RX500 and only use the generic cart's which work fine.
Sorry for being so negative but I wish I could have found one the older models that also print the DVD labels. - My brother has one and can over 300 DVDs on a set of generic cartridges.
