Video Codec For use in Irfanview

I'm after a video codec to use in irfanview. I had one that did exactly what i was after, but it was only a trail.

I need to be be able to get the first frame out of the video when thumbnailing a folder, and to be able to play the video in irfanview.

Anyone know a free codec to do this?

No, but i will when my download finishes.

MainConcept's demo software is fully functional, except that a watermark is added to processed video without harming your source material

This is a bit of a probelm but i'll deal. Thanks.

I think the watermark is only added when you are using it to encode video, not when you are decoding it. But, let us know how it works out.
