Can anyone tell me for sure weather or not it's ok to put a 45ml container of lense cleaning fluid in my baggage for an international flight ?

If it's in your checked baggage I don't see how it would be a problem. TSA in the US limits carry-on liquids/gels to a 1-quart plastic zip-top bag full of 3-ounce or smaller containers per passenger. You could carry a 45ml container of lens cleaner onboard without incident. In your checked baggage, you could theoretically carry gallons of the stuff.

In the US, the liquid/gel limits pretty much apply only to carry-on bags. Checked baggage is subject to far fewer regulations. You can even still carry a handgun in your checked baggage as long as it's properly packed, unloaded, and declared.

I always put my in the checked luggage. I'm not sure what's in lens cleaner, but sensor cleaner has methanol - a definite no-no.

Can you carry a 5 ml plastic bottle of eyedrops? I can - in my pants pocket - it doesn't show up on the scanner.

But it has been washed out thoroughly, first with water, then with isopropyl alcohol, then filled with isopropyl alcohol for sensor cleaning.

How about putting 5 ml of lens cleaning fluid into an eyedrop bottle? It only takes one or two drops per cleaning. 5 ml will last a long time. My bottle of lens cleaning fluid is 29.8 ml and will last a lifetime unless I drink it.;)

I have taken lense cleaner in both carry on and checked luggage without a problem. If your lense cleaner is an aerosol type, definitely check it.
