im just about to join one of the above but was wondering what people thought of the 2, I have tried them both quickly and dont feel there is much difference.

The one thing pulling me to smugmug is the communities.

Also if anyone has a referal code for smugmug pm me, if i do go that way I will use the first one I get sent.

Thanks

Carl

ygpm, or
You can save a friend $5 on a smugmug subscription and earn $10 yourself!) or your personal coupon ( 9dVkhD3SbBDWE ) in the 'Referred by' field on the signup form (Important: They can't enter any other information, such as your name. Just your email address or coupon).

Smugmug's fast response to questions is what I think is the shining part of their service.

Either will serve you well. Zenfolio will be adding a Premiere level soon that has more features like setting custom pricing on photos. No telling if they will be cheaper or offer more features than Smugmug.

There is a Zenfolio referal thread going on. If you do join Zenfolio, you can save $5 and add your name to the thread.

I'm using smugmug and really like it. Only gripe is they for whatever reason make you have their little smugmug link on the bottom of your homepage even after paying your $150...

I asked Zenfolio if they will offer the ability to upload video on their upcoming "Premeire" level like Smugmug does at their $60 level. The answer was, "not in the short term."

I burn 20+ video CDs every year for our family, and had I noticed this Smugmug feature, I probably would have gone with them instead of Zenfolio.
