I'm aware of the other thread, posted there but no responses, so I thought I would create another thread, specifically for this lens.

If you are a crumpler 7 mdh owner, and have the 70-200 f/2.8 and can store it mounted in this bag, can you (pretty please) take a picture of it so I can see how it is (or is not) done? There are conflicting views as to whether this bag can safely store this lens mounted (I have the 30d). I have birthday $$$ coming this month and would like to take a chance on this bag, but I would love to see photos of that particular set up, if possible, before ordering.

I know this asking alot since it's probable you won't have another camera at your disposal to take the shot, but alot of you have 2 bodies or multiple cameras, so I am hoping someone can do it.

Many thanks!!:D :D

You "can" store the lens mounted, but you'll have to have the camera and lens horizonal with in the 7mdh.

In the vertical orientation, you'll find it difficult to close the covering flap.

I'll take a pic tomorrow if no one else does as it's bed time for me!

cheers,

Lucas

I definitely would not say that the 70-200 fits in a 7MDH mounted on a body (in the traditional sense, it may work as tougemon suggests). I mean, you can put it in the bag and put the flap over it, but I don't think the flap will even reach the velcro.

I have both and it will not fit vertically mounted to a body. It would fit horizontally but you would give up the functionality of the bag to hold other lenses. I would still recommend the 7MDH home though...its a great every day bag and you can pack a lot into it (I carry a 20D( mounted to either of the first two lenses listed next), 16-35, 24-105, 70-200, 580EX plus CF cards, batteries & charger).

not many bags can store a long telephoto attached to the body in the lens down position and still close the flap. as others have said you can stick it in there and have it poking out the top for short periods but that's the best you can do.

typically in this situation i will carry the camera on my neck, and then take off the lens when i need to carry it for longer distances.
